Last Friday, October 24, Livingston Academy played host to the Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) Warriors on Senior Night at Tom Davis Memorial Stadium.  The Wildcats defeated CAK by a final score of 35-14.  LA senior quarterback Kaleb Qualls accounted for 4 of the team's 5 touchdowns (1 rushing, 3 passing).  The Wildcats got on the board on their opening drive when Qualls scored from 1 yard out to make the score 7-0.  CAK would tie the game with a 1 yard rushing TD of their own in the 1st Quarter.  In the 2nd Quarter, Junior running back Dylan Linder raced for a 65 yard TD to put the Wildcats back on top 14-7.  On LA's final possession of the 1st Half, Qualls found fellow senior Wade Eldridge for a 21 yard TD pass.  The first half would come to a close with junior Peter Hollars making his second interception of the half.  LA would fumble the opening kickoff of the 2nd half and that led to another 1 yard TD run for CAK and cut the lead to 21-14 in favor of Livingston.  That would be as close as CAK would get in the 2nd Half as LA would score two more TDs through the air, one a 22 yard pass from Qualls to Hollars and the other a 35 yard strike to freshman Carter Hayes to make the final score 35-14.  The LA defense would intercept CAK twice more in the 2nd Half with Qualls and fellow senior Daniel Flatt picking off the CAK quarterback.  The win pushed LA's season record to 8-1 and almost guarantees that HOGEYE will host at least one TSSAA playoff game.  LA will finish the regular season on Thursday, October 30, in Jamestown against arch-rival York Institute.  If LA defeats York, it will be the second time in three years that LA would go undefeated in District 8AA.
