As other students departed school on Friday to begin fall break, the Outdoor Club was loading up and heading out to the Virginia Creeper. The Outdoor Club, along with Brandon Cross (advisor), Mark Lee and Kacy Bennett arrived in Abingdon, VA, where they stayed the night. Saturday morning they were bused on over to Damascus, where they began their journey on the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Club chartered with Sundog Outfitters, who rented them bikes and shuttled the crew to the trail head at the top of the mountain at Whitetop Station. They then descended 17 miles down through the Appalachian Mountains. Mr. Cross stated that, "This was a truly amazing trip. It seems that every time we are coming home, Kacy, Mark, and I are always discussing how easy these amazing students make the trips."
