Just a few notes from the library…

Mrs. Padgett is excited to see the interest we have had in the Southeast Young Adult Book Festival.  Over 120 students signed up!! Registration in now closed. If you have not signed up for your free book, please do that before this Friday.  You just put the book title and author beside your name on the sign up sheet in the library.

Just a reminder that if you have outstanding library books, please get those turned in as soon as possible.  Return notices will be going out soon.

Also, we have a number of students on the waiting list for the books on the VSBA - Volunteer Book Awards books display, so turn this in too if you have finished them.  Thank you!

Always remember - Snow is falling and books are calling!!!

Seniors - Disney payments are due on Tuesday to either Mrs. Greenwood or Mrs. Padgett.  Room assignments and medical forms should have already been turned in but if not turn them in ASAP in the library.

Yearbooks are now on sale!!!! You can go to www.balfour.com to place your order.

It's time to check your lockers and backpacks for library books you need to turn in. If you are reading your book, please don't feel like you have to turn it in. JUST KEEP READING, READING, and READING!!

HERE'S A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND STAFF MEMBERS AT LA!!  you ever wanted to be responsible for selecting the next great book or series that everyone will want to be reading OR will be turning into the next big movie?? LA has that opportunity!! Mrs. Padgett has signed us up to participate in  the Volunteer State Book Awards program!! There are 20 book nominees and each person that would like to be able to vote has to read 3, only 3, of the books from the list. The deadline to read at least 3 selections is April 15th so we have plenty of time. Stop by the library for all the details today and check out your first book!!!

To all the readers of the Volunteer State Book award books don't forget to sign up in the library for prizes that will be drawn for the participants. Also, if you have finished your book be sure to turn it back in immediately because we only have one book left to check out and a waiting list for those already checked out. That is an exciting problem to have because that's over 50 books that are out being read!! Reading Rocks at LA!!

Have you always wanted to go to a college campus, meet 1,500 other high school students from around Tennessee and meet 40 famous authors all for free? Today is your lucky day! Stop by the library ans sign up with Mrs. Padgett for a trip to MTSU on March 7th to the Southeast Young Adult Book Festival. There is only one catch...You must sign up NO LATER than this Friday, January 11th. See Mrs. Padgett TODAY it is a first come, first to sign up trial!!
